Shaking up Tech offers companies the opportunity to showcase their company, its products, values, and people, as well as to meet young people who are interested in technology, problem-solving, future innovations, and meaningful work. The event brings together young women and gender minorities interested in the field of technology from all over Finland, along with companies and organizations that want to build a more equal, accessible, and diverse society.
We encourage young people to see what kinds of opportunities the field of technology truly offers and what kinds of people work in the field.
A more diverse field of technology
By increasing diversity, we can together reform the field and broaden the pool of talent. Increasing diversity in the field of technology is important primarily so that new technologies and services being developed would meet the needs of a diverse society.
Together we can encourage more and more young people to see the field of technology as a place where they belong and where they can make a difference. Shaking up Tech gathers hundreds of young people interested in the field of technology from around Finland every year. Based on participant feedback, the event increases interest in the field of technology, makes the field more approachable than before, and inspires many to consider studies in the field of technology for the first time.

Based on participant feedback, the event increases interest in the field of technology, makes the field more approachable than before, and inspires many to consider studies in the field of technology for the first time.
What kind of collaboration is possible?
Shaking up Tech is organized at several universities around Finland. You can join on-site at either one or several campuses!
In the morning talks, participants listen to women working in the field or professionals belonging to gender minorities tell their own career stories. We openly welcome suggestions for suitable speakers from our collaborating companies!
Through the demos, participants get to explore sponsor companies through hands-on activities. In the demo session and the study fair area, young people can visit different stations at their own pace, try technology in practice, talk with company representatives, and get to know various roles in the field of technology. Based on experience, it is precisely the hands-on activities and low-threshold encounters that make a durable impression in participants' minds.
Your company gets visibility both in the event's digital channels and on-site at the event. We can tailor the scope of the logo package according to your wishes.
This is how collaboration proceeds
Shaking up Tech is organized annually in January. We reach out to companies and welcome inquiries throughout the year!
1. Get in touch
Tell our producer about your interest in participating as a partner for the event.
2. Let's plan the collaboration
We go through the different collaboration opportunities and event locations.
3. Confirm participation
The collaboration and the form of visibility are agreed upon annually in August–September.
4. Let's meet at the event
The presence of company representatives and logos at the event are an important sign to young people that you are interested in them and involved in reforming the field.
