On average, a smartphone is replaced every 1-2 years. After that, the old phone tends to sit in the desk drawer. What can be done to better recycle mobile phones and their materials? How can we make the replacement interval of a smartphone longer? In this Environmental Technology workshop, we will step into the shoes of a product developer: how different circular economy strategies can reduce the environmental impact of mobile phones and create new business.
