LEGO-car: program and solve the route to the finish line

Workshop description

Subject: Smart machines and systems

In this workshop, you will program a LEGO car to move on its own by following different instructions.

Lego workshop Oulu

The car has two color sensors and reacts to colors by making decisions based on the logic you create in your program. You don’t need any previous programming experience. You will learn the basics in a hands-on way and see how your
code controls the car’s behavior!

Robots are complex machines and developing them usually requires testing of many different things. However, you don’t always need expensive equipment, sometimes even LEGO bricks are enough to test an idea. In this workshop, you will try out how lanekeeping system can be programmed and tested safely using a LEGO car. Similar principles are used in robots and vehicles. This workshop provides a fun, practical, and safe way to explore how programming turns into real-world actions.
