Steel vs. liquid nitrogen

Topic: material engineering
In this workshop the studets will operate a Charpy notch impact test machine to test the impact strenght of a steel bar.
Additionally, the students will explore how the mechanical properties of the steel bar will change as a fucntion of temperature when the steel bar is cooled down to -196°C with liquid nitrogen.
