Workshop description
Significance of research and education in mining and exploration has emphasized during recent years due to the openings of new mines and increased production of minerals and metals. Oulu Mining School (OMS) is an education and research unit in engineering and geosciences at the University of Oulu, which significantly strengthens the University’s expertise in natural resources and sustainability. Oulu Mining School gathers core disciplines of mining value chain at the geosciences, geophysics, mining engineering and mineral processing sectors. In the Mining field demo you can get familiar with several valuable minerals extracted from the bedrock and the modern day products that have been manufactured from these minerals. You will also hear the latest innovations toward green mining.
