Workshops

Clean water through photocatalysis

Workshop description

Subject: A brief overview of good water quality and photocatalysis

In this workshop, you will get hands-on experience of photocatalytic water treatment and learn how the photocatalytic process works.

We need clean water every day. This requires continuous improvement of water treatment, because new pollutants are entering water bodies through human activity. One interesting new method of purification is photocatalysis.

In this workshop you will learn about water quality, water pollution and water treatment. During the practical work, you will have the opportunity to talk to the scientists about their work, studies and career paths.

Practical work: in the workshop, students will monitor photocatalytic water purification using Uv-vis measurements. At the same time, students will learn more about the subject.

Role models: during the workshops, students will have the opportunity to discuss with researchers about their studies, career paths and achievements.
