Topic: electron microscopy

The workshop includes demonstrations of electron microscope techniques and equipment as well as research examples.

Electron microscopes enable the imaging and analysis of materials on an atomic scale. 

The group takes samples of their own hair and analyzes the samples with high enlargements using an electron microscope, which allows to see the structure of a single hair and the effect of dyes and other possible treatments on different hair types.
