Can’t code? Don’t worry. You won’t need to in this workshop. Software development has changed. You no longer need to learn a programming language before you can start building something of your own. All you need is an idea and the ability to explain it.
You tell the AI what you want, and it builds a working app right before your eyes. You look at the result, decide what works and what doesn’t, and guide the AI to do better. You’re the boss; the AI does the work.
In the space of an hour, you’ll build your own app on a topic that matters to you. It might solve your group of friends’ age-old ‘where shall we go for dinner?’ dilemma, estimate the prices of flea market finds, or be something that no one else has yet thought of. At the same time, you’ll learn the most important skill of the AI era: recognising when the machine is wrong. It happens surprisingly often, and always with the same self-assurance.
Finally, we’ll add your own AI agent to your app and see what happens when the programme starts making decisions on its own. Sometimes the result is brilliant, sometimes hilarious. You’ll learn from both.
You’ll head home with a working app and a link that you can share with your friends. The workshop is led by researchers from GPT-Lab, who study AI for a living and are happy to share what it’s like. Right now, the field needs people with ideas and the courage to say ‘no’ to a machine. Come and find out if you’re one of them.
