Photonics – lasers, measurements, and communication with light

In the photonics workshop, you will explore how human vision works through four illustrative demonstrations:

• Depth perception: Why do we need two eyes?
• Mixing light and colors: How do pixels work? Using three primary colors—red, green, and blue—pixels can create all the colors we see.
• Guiding laser light: Experience how light propagates, reflects, and refracts! Learn how to guide laser light and understand how the eye and eyeglasses work.
• Color vision: Learn how the human eye perceives different colors. How does color perception change when an object is illuminated with lights of different colors?
