Osallistuja kokeilee VR-laseja

Experience virtual reality (VR) using nothing more than your own smartphone!

In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore how low-cost VR like VR Cardboard can transform an ordinary phone into a window into immersive 3D worlds. You’ll get to play a few fun VR games, learn how to set up your phone for VR, and even take home your own Cardboard headset to continue experimenting long after the workshop ends.

Have you ever wanted to experience virtual reality but thought it required expensive headsets?
In this workshop, we’ll introduce you to frugal VR innovation, how simple tools like VR Cardboard can make VR accessible to everyone.

You’ll begin by learning how to configure your phone for VR applications. Then, you’ll try out a selection of fun and interactive VR demos and games developed by our team at the University of Oulu.

By the end, you’ll understand the basics of VR systems, how to launch and play VR apps, and how to experiment on your own with your new Cardboard headset. No prior experience in programming or VR is needed!

All participants will receive a free VR Cardboard to keep.
